InnoCampus Startup Accelerator Program in Izmir Institute of Technology is realized in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, Mission in Turkey, an organization part of the United Nations system. InnoCampus İzmir Program targets all local young people and refugees who want to become entrepreneurs. The aim of the Program is to support the participants in bringing their business ideas to life through the InnoCampus training program.
InnoCampus Startup Weekend
Startup Accelerator Program
The program will start with the InnoCampus Startup Weekend on 28 – 30th July where the most promising teams will be invited. These teams will work for 48 hours to develop their ideas with little sleep, plenty of coffee and the support of mentors. At the end of the weekend, the jury will select the best teams to join the intensive Startup Accelerator Program which lasts for 2 weeks between 14 – 26 August. During this time, the teams will work hard to bring business ideas to life with intensive startup training and mentor support. In addition to the startup training, InnoCampus containers also has a prototyping lab (Fab lab) where the teams can build their prototypes using 3D printers, laser cutter, desktop CNC and electronics. On the demo day at the end of the program, the teams pitch their ideas to the jury, project stakeholders and investors. The best teams selected by the jury receive seed money.
InnoCampus İzmir Program targets all entrepreneurs in Turkey who want to bring their business idea to life and meet the below conditions. The accelerator program on 14 – 26 August is free of charge to the best startup teams who are selected at the Startup Weekend. This accelerator program will be an intensive and full time camp. The accommodation will be covered by the program. Any transportation costs are the responsibility of the participants.
InnoCampus is a mobile accelerator / Fab Lab program which travels from city to city helping budding entrepreneurs bring their business ideas to life. The prefabricated portable platform consists of 3 containers (total 90 m2) which can be set up and disassembled in just a day and travels from city to city on 3 trucks.
The goal of the InnoCampus is to help young people with the tools and methods they will need at the early stages of their startups, encourage them and connect them with other individuals and organizations that can support them.
So far, InnoCampus has implemented 7 different training programs in Adana, Izmir, Çanakkale, Istanbul and Gaziantep. The next InnoCampus Program will take place in Izmir.

As part of IOM’s Livelihoods Program for refugees living in Turkey and Turkish host community, IOM is partnering with InnoCampus to provide technical and legal expertise to the InnoCampus Startup Accelerator Program.
